It was a very informative and interesting class. The instructor, Steve Sampson, was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to answer all questions, no matter how basic. I was particularly appreciative because I am a beginner. I highly recommend this class to others.

I enjoyed meeting Steve Sampson and discussing various techniques. We come from slightly different backgrounds, but also have much in common. The class was clearly directed toward beginner photographers, though I did pick up some reminders to be aware of. I was hoping to be photographing a model, but none were available. The three of us acted as models for each of us to do a couple of shots. I wish that we had more time to shoot in different locations and lighting conditions. I always enjoy getting another photographers perspective.

This was wonderful and I learned what I wanted (basically how to use my camera settings). I am a true beginner. The other 2 at the sessions were definitely not beginners as they had studios and lots of experience. So I sat back because they were talking way over my head and had the fancy cameras and lenses. Brenda was absolutely awesome in checking on me though ? no complaints there whatsoever. I just didn?t feel this was a ?beginner? class all around.

Really great session! I really valued the fluidity of Todd and his willingness to shift topics that I was interested in. (I signed up for the class mostly for the Flash discussions as the other topics I feel well versed on and he was willing to shift to what was important to me!

Cheryl Vandegrift had great teaching strategies: printed visuals with verbal communication and hands on work, which tapped into the visual, audio and tactile learners. She gave us individual attention and inspired us to go beyond the print also by thinking about the end result of our photographs. She was able to challenge all the different learners in the group.

The vibrant colors of the early morning sunrise painted the sky above a farm field. Gentle hues of orange and pink spread across the horizon, creating a breathtaking view. This beautiful scene highlighted the beginning of a new day in a rural setting. The peaceful moment brought a sense of calm and tranquility to the surroundings. As the sun ascended, it illuminated the fertile lands of the farm field.

My daughter and I were playing on her splash pad after a afternoon thunder storm, when she suddenly left the splash pad and said, "Mommy I want to play in the muddy." She then ran to this dirty puddle at the end of our drive way and started splashing around, I laughed as it reminded me of when I was a kid and use to make mudpies in the mud puddles at my great grandmothers house, my own mother hated me playing in the rain water. So I let her be a kid and play in "the muddy" as she calls it, and t

When a client failed to show up for a scheduled shoot, I saw an unexpected opportunity to create something for myself. I decided to seize the moment and take a self-portrait, capturing a glimpse of my own personality behind the lens. To add a touch of artistic flair, I opted to convert the image to black and white. The decision to go monochrome was intentional I wanted to emphasize the contrast and texture, evoking a timeless quality in the photograph. As a member of a beginner photography

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
